Commitment from JASPAR
Takashi Hisaki
Representative director
We are extremely pleased to announce the open-source release of the “Yoriito” project. This achievement would not have been possible without the tremendous contributions of all participants involved, and we would like to express our deepest gratitude. As JASPAR, we have actively explored and prepared for the future of in-vehicle software in the SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle) era, and we view this milestone as a significant step forward. The project name ”Yoriito” embodies our desire to weave together people, technologies, and organizations—like twisted threads—to create new value through collaboration. As SDV technologies continue to advance, the importance of a common platform that transcends differences among OEMs and in-vehicle operating systems will only grow. This API was designed to abstract vehicle functions, enabling developers to build software efficiently and safely. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance the project through real-world use, deepen collaboration with communities and organizations both in Japan and globally, and work towards building a sustainable ecosystem.

We are delighted that the ”Yoriito” project is now widely available beyond JASPAR. SDV development involves a wide range of technical domains, each requiring deep expertise. Therefore, collaboration beyond the boundaries of the automotive industry is essential. By bringing together the diverse knowledge of companies, organizations, and individuals, let us collectively establish a robust technical foundation to accelerate the realization of SDV. JASPAR will continue to actively promote the ”Yoriito” project.
Ryo Ito
Steering Committee Vice Chairperson
The ”Yoriito” project has now been released. I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who contributed to this effort. The automotive industry is undergoing rapid and significant transformation. In times like these, a common platform usable by engineers from diverse backgrounds is increasingly important. At JASPAR, we have worked to develop standards that are practical for engineers in the field. We hope that ”Yoriito” will serve as a new, valuable common platform for all.
